A graduate of the St-Petersburg Conservatory, flutist Maria Fedotova started music when she was 5 years old and performed her first solo concerts at the age of 7 with the chamber orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre.
Maria Fedotova successfully combined her solo activity with work at the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra under V. Fedoseyev, in which became a soloist at the age of 19.
Since 2012 she is solo-flutist in the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre under the artistic director V. Gergiev and teaches in the St. Petersburg Conservatory.
Her solo performances take place in the world best concert halls, she participates in international festivals. In recent years Maria gave master classes in Japan, Lithuania, Portugal and Russia.
She is an Honored Artist of Russia.
Member of the jury of the International Television Contest for Young Musicians 'The Nutcracker', discipline ‘Winds & Percussion Instruments’.
