Matvei studies at the Sevastopol Rimsky-Korsakov School of Music № 1, teacher – Tatiana Aparina.

Laureate of many contests: XVII City Kabalevsky Contest  (Sevastopol, 2012, Grand Prix), International Youth Festival-Contest Sochi Art Olympics (2011, I Prize), XIII  Blue Bird International Competition (Eupatoria, 2012, I Prize), Republican contests Young Virtuoso (Simferopol, 2012, I Prize; 2013-2015 – Grand Prix), International contest The 21st Century Art (Portugal, 2014, I Prize), II Kogan Open Contest of Violin and Cello Players (Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, 2014, I Prize), International Competition for Young Violinists BRAVO (Namur, Belgium, 2014, I Prize), International Competition of Young Performers and Composers Musical Art  (Moscow, 2014, Grand Prix), International Music Competition of Young Performers Dedicated to Sergey Prokofiev (Moscow, 2015, Grand Prix) and others. Participated in the V CIS Youth Music Academy, headed by Yuri Bashmet (2015), XI International Festival Moscow Meets Friends (2014) and other festivals. Has appeared on the stages of the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow International Performing Arts Center, Roerich Museum and other venues. Has performed as a soloist with Crimean State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (conductor I. Kazhdan), Togliatti Philharmonics Symphonic Orchestra (conductor F. Korobov) and many others. Attended international master classes.

In his free time Matvei enjoys drawing and swimming; plays chess. His most cherished dream is to become a real musician.
